Recently,2018ChinaASEANUniversityStudentsCulturalWeekMicrofilmContestwasheldatHaikouCityofChina’ssouthernHainanProvince.SHNUstudentscompetedwith30delegationsfrom15countriestowinthe2ndprizefortheirteamworkmovieproductionFrost.ThemicrofilmcontestaimsatpromotingculturalexchangesandcooperationamonguniversitystudentsofASEAN.Itlastedover3monthsandattractedcandidatesfromASEANnationsandregions.

AkbertoBressan,ProfessorfromPennsylvaniaStateUniversity,wasinvitedtodeliverareporton2-DEulerequationsforSHNUteachersandstudentsfromCollegeofMathematicsandMechanicalEngineering.Itwasattendedbyover50audienceswhodiscussedwiththespeakerafterthelecture.Theyalsodiscussedsomelatestresearchtopicsforfurtheracademicexchanges.AsalectureprofessorofPennsylvaniaStateUniversity,BressanwonhonorssuchasBôcherMemorialPrize,A.Feltrinelliprize,AnalysisofPartialDifferentialEquationsandPrizeoftheSIAM.

TheChinaNationalFrenchStarTalentContestFinalwasheldatNo.1LectureHallatShanghaiInternationalStudiesUniversityonDecember14th.AjuniorstudentofSHNUCollegeofBusinesswonthesecondprize.SponsoredbyChinaMinistryofEducation,thetalentcontestisahigh-levelgrandcompetitionofFrenchlanguageinChineseuniversities.ItaimsatbuildingaplatformforFrenchmajorstoshowtheirtalentswhileexchangingeachothertomakefurtherprogressandcultivatemoreoutstandinginternationalFrenchtalentstoestablishaglobalvisionandextendcross-cultural
