The 6th SHNU Folk Cultural Festival was held on Fengxian Campus on May 17th. Sponsored by SHNU Division of Students Affairs and Danruo Folk Career Life Shop, the festival attracted over one thousand of students and teachers.
The students of different nationalities gave full play to their resonant voices while wearing dazzling costumes of their own ethnic groups. They staged brilliant arts performances, including dances of minority groups, folk music instrument playing and poem recital on unity among ethnic groups. These actors displayed their fond wishes to the prosperity of China.
The audiences can also feast their eyes on unique artifacts, particularly the silver decorations of Miao Minority Group, and Zither of Mongolia Minority Group.
The festival marks the expectation of spreading and displaying folk cultures, as well as protecting and inheriting them one generation after another.
