May 18thmarks the 47thInternational Museum Day with the theme of Museum, Sustainability and Beautiful Life. The SHNU Museum provided students with a profound cultural feast flowing with fun.
The annual activity falls into two parts: online roaming for the first part and theme guidance and special experience for the second part. This year, the reservation for traditional cultural activities, seal-cutting and ceramic arts, has been heated. This has pushed the Museum Day to a high tide.
The audiences outside the campus can also immerse themselves into such cultural activities and initiate conversations with the history inside the glass showcase.
At the 1st floor of SHNU Library on Fengxian Campus, a one-month long SHNU Museum Exhibition displayed 52 Treasured Exhibits to recount and resurface the history behind the museum glass.
It is noted that SHNU museum ranks the 4thamong university museums in the 2023 Social Impact Index Ranking List for Shanghai Museums (recently published by Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism), one place higher than that of last year. The SHNU museum would as always insist on digital multimedia technology to establish a unique visitor-friendly museum experience both online and on the scene from an all-inclusively multi-angular perspective.
