Sponsored by SHNU and Shanghai Research Institute of Education Science, the Academic Committee Conference on Education Big Data and Education Policy Lab and Higher Education Reform Forum was held at SHNU on May 12th.
The academic conference falls into two stages: during the first stage, SHNU Vice President Chen Heng was quoted as saying that Education Data and Education Policy Lab signals the first batch of liberal arts lab approved by China Ministry of Education and the only trial lab in Shanghai. It is expected that the lab should play a vital role in promoting the development of education reforms in Shanghai(,) and the Yangtze Delta. Employment Certificates were conferred to academic members from Qinghua University, Xiamen University, Beijing Institute of Technology, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, East China Normal University and Shanghai Institute of Education Science.
At the second stage, the open topics of 2022 and to-be-published topics of 2023 were introduced and discussions were held among different academic members in term of key research directions, themes, and future development strategies. It is believed that education study in the big data era is no longer a discipline that is guided by ideas and passed down by experience. Instead, it has grown into a positive science.
