Sponsored by People’s Music Publishing House, Piano Arts, PLEYEL China, and Music College of Ningbo University, the 6th National Piano Education Symposium was held at Music College of Ningbo University from April 26th to 30th.
At the first theme forum of the symposium, 8 deans from music colleges and piano departments shared their experience in developing their respective piano disciplines and exchanged on how to create a piano system of curricula for music education and music performance majors, and how to cultivate students’ extemporaneous music accompanying skills and comprehensive piano talents.
It is agreed at the conference that more emphases would be placed upon teachers’ team building, and arts talents improvement to serve the needs of China’s piano career development at new age. It focuses on the directions of development for piano talents and education methods of piano talents of higher education institutes in terms of theme forums, workshops, master classes and theme concerts.
The symposium aims at paving a more solid foundation for Chinese piano education development.
