On April 26th, Dai Shaojun, professor from SHNU College of Life Sciences, leads his team to publish research results about Cysteine-rich receptor-like protein kinases (CRKs) at Trends in Plant Science (TPS), an authoritative international journal. The title of the paper is Cysteine-rich receptor-like protein kinases: emerging regulators of plant stress responses.
The paper would be published as the cover story of No. 7 Edition of 2023 at TPS. The cover adopts the setting of Chinese traditional Spring Festival, when children set off firecrackers to exorcise legendary evil spirits that bring pain and suffering in the past year. The paper integrates and analyses 44 CRKs of Arabidopsis thaliana and another 12 species of CRKs in terms of their manipulation on plants’ growth, signal transduction, hormone control, pathogen defense, and various physiological processes.
Zhang Yongxue, postdoctoral degree candidate of SHNU, is the first author of the paper and Tian Haodong, a postgraduate student, is the co-first author of the paper. SHNU Professor Dai Shaojun is the corresponding author. The research is funded by NSFC, Nation-Guided Local Science and Technology Development Project, Shanghai Development Center of Plant Germplasm Resources and China Postdoctoral Science Foundation.
