Recently, according to the 2022 Approval Results of Higher Education Undergraduates’ Majors----robots engineering and sports training. Meanwhile, and 5 majors are accredited to be canceled----digital media arts, public relations, logistic management, foods science and engineering, and electric and mechanical technology education. So far, the number of SHNU undergraduates’ majors amounts to 90.
In accordance with national strategies and economic and social demands while fortifying undergraduates’ disciplines construction and management, SHNU has been dedicated to applying for new characteristic majors by restructuring the education mechanism and optimizing academic development plans.
The major of Robots Engineering orients towards cultivating talents in industrial production, education and medical rehabilitation and falls into two research directions: general industrial robots and intelligent robots. Another major of Sports Training aims at promoting trainers’ core abilities to be qualified for working in various sports professional teams, sports clubs, and schools. The graduates are expected to build an international vision so as to contribute more to the healthy development of Shanghai sports and athletic activities.
