On the afternoon of April 1, the 4th Global City Development Conference& Launching Ceremony of Global City Development Report, Cases and Index 2022 were held at the Education International Exchange Center of Shanghai Normal University. Digital Empowerment for Global City Development was the theme of the conference. It was jointly sponsored by Shanghai Institute for Global City, Shanghai People’s Publishing House and Truth & Wisdom Press, and organized by Shanghai Institute for Global City of Shanghai Normal University.
Three reports were released at the conference: Globa lCity Development Report 2022, Global CityCases2022and Global City Development Index 2022. According to researcher Zhou Zhenhua, president of Shanghai Institute for Global City, the people-centered principle is the key to realize city digital transformation, and offering value to people is the ultimate goal of city digital transformation.
