The 7th Shanghai Model Job Hunting Contest for University Students drew to a close on April 14th, and Li Nami, a senior student from SHNU Xiejin Film, TV and Communication College, came up the second with the total score of 88.68 and won the first prize for undergraduate and postgraduate group. Another student of SHNU Chen Chen won the third prize, and Feng Qingmiao won the Excellence Prize.
Sponsored by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, Shanghai Students’ Affairs Office and East China University of Science and Technology, the contest falls into two groups: one for undergraduates and postgraduates, and the other for technical college students. Over 90 candidates from 20 universities joined the contest: in the first round, candidates answer questions from judges to present their initial career images; in the second round, they were asked to display their skills of reactions to changes, pressure resistance, analyses and teamwork spirits; in the last round, they compete in job talents. Finally, 16 candidates entered for the last round for the final.
The contest aims at promoting career development concepts among university students in accordance with actual needs for talents. Meanwhile, it guides them to prepare early their niches and job positioning, upgrading their job qualities and improving their job competence and winning higher employers’ satisfaction.
