On April 9th, Yu Junjian, famous tenor, music singer, Head of China ASEAN Arts College, and doctoral degree candidate supervisor, visited SHNU for joining Chinese Folk Tenor Forum. It was also attended by SHNU Party Secretary Lin Zaiyong, SHNU Vice Party Secretary and Vice President Ge Weihua, and representatives from Guizhou University, Hunan University of Humanities, Science and Technology, and Jiangsu Normal University.
Yu Junjian stressed on the importance of exploring folk singing training system and judging standards in exploring Chinese language. Meanwhile, he also shared his learning experience with scholars and students while displaying how a singer should behave and look during singing performances. Some student audiences were even directed by Yu on the scene. At the forum, singing performances education was discussed from different perspectives, as well as theories research and future of modern folk arts in the new age.
