A Student from SHNU College of Sports Wins Gold at the 2026 Asian Track Cycling Championship

On March 25th, the 2026 Asian Track Cycling Championship officially kicked off at the Indoor Cycling Velodrome in Tagaytay City, the Philippines. The tournament attracted top athletes from 19 countries and regions, serving as a crucial battleground for Olympic qualification points.

On the opening day of the competition, Jin Zhiheng, an undergraduate student majoring in Sports Training from SHNU School of Physical Education, won the gold medal in the men's team sprint event, adding a precious gold medal to the Chinese team.  

This gold medal not only represents a high recognition of his personal prowess but also marks a remarkable leap from national to Asian competition stages, achieving this breakthrough within just a few months after securing a bronze at the 15thNational Games in 2025.
