The Awarding Ceremony of 19th Chinese Mathematics Modeling Games for Postgraduates was held at Huazhong University of Science and Technology from March 17th to 19th. It attracted 63,345 postgraduates from 465 institutes.
After about two months of online approval and assessment, SHNU candidate won 1 first prize, 21 second prizes and 35 third prizes, with the total number of postgraduates amounting to 171. The Shanghai Normal University also won the title of Best Organization Prize. Three SHNU candidates won the first prize at the games.
Sponsored by China Ministry of Education, the Chinese Society of Academic Degrees and Graduate Education and China Association for Science and Technology, the games aim at promoting candidates’ abilities to create math models and solve practical problems through information technology, and serving as a platform to cultivate their scientific innovation skills during their research and teamwork practices.
