A Fresh Start for a New Semester: Smooth Teaching Operations on the First Day of School

March 2nd marked the official first day of classes for the new semester at SHNU. In the morning, university leaders Lin Zaiyong, Chen Heng, Zhao Yang, Jiang Mingjun, and Li Ye inspected the teaching activities at both Xuhui and Fengxian campuses. Representatives from the University Office, Fengxian Campus Management Committee, Academic Affairs Office, Student Affairs Department, Graduate School, and Postgraduate Work Department joined the inspection team.

At XuhuiCampus, Lin Zaiyong and Zhao Yang, along with their delegation, visited classrooms in Teaching Building 3, inspecting undergraduate courses, as well as graduate courses. They expressed satisfaction with the spirited demeanor displayed by faculty and students at the beginning of the new semester, encouraging students to focus attentively on their lessons and actively engage in classroom interaction. The university leaders also had warm conversations with teachers and students, extended heartfelt greetings to those working on the front lines of teaching, and offered high praise for the vibrant and proactive spirit demonstrated by both faculty and students in the new term.

At Fengxian Campus, Chen Heng, Jiang Mingjun, Li Ye, and other representatives conducted teaching inspections across Teaching Building 2, Building 3, and Building 5, assessing the faculty and student conditions, attendance, and the teaching facilities. They engaged in friendly discussions with the teachers before class. The university's course schedules now include completeinformation for both undergraduate and graduate courses. During their inspections at both campuses, the university leaders acknowledged the successful implementation of the integrated undergraduate and graduate course scheduling.The Academic Affairs Office, Graduate School, and Student Affairs Department assigned dedicated personnel to conduct detailed checks on the presence of instructors and student attendance across all teaching buildings on both campuses. Prior to the semester's start, various facilities and equipment in the teaching buildings were inspected to ensure smooth operations for the new semester. Meanwhile, the administrative leaders of each college also visited the teaching buildings to oversee the teaching conditions on the first day of the semester.

Thanks to a series of preparatory measures and the coordinated efforts across various school departments, the teaching activities on the first day of the semester proceeded smoothly across the entire campus. All faculty and students greeted the new semester with full energy and enthusiasm.
