Shanghai Normal University (SHNU) has secured 59 projects approved for the 2025 National Social Science Fund, setting a new historical record. The results of various National Social Science Fund projects for 2025 were recently announced, with SHNU securing 59 approvals, setting a new record for the number of National Social Science Fund projects in the institution. This achievement reflects the steady advancement in the development of philosophy and social sciences disciplines and the research innovation capabilities of our university. Among the 59 approved National Social Science Fund projects for 2025, there were 4 major projects, 31 annual projects, 7 projects under the education discipline (separately categorized), 2 projects under the art discipline. Notably, the number of approvals for the education discipline (separately categorized) and post-funding support projects both set new records. Additionally, the post-funding support projects not only ranked first in the city for all applying institutions this year but also historically achieved the first-ever approval for an outstanding academic monograph reprint project.
