Recently, the "Influence Index Report of Chinese Libraries in the Era of Digital Intelligence (2025)"was officially released.The SHNU (Shanghai Normal University) Library ranked within the top 100 in all index rankings of the report. In the "Influence Index of Undergraduate University Libraries in China" ranking, it scored 90.04 points, securing the 55thposition in the overall influence ranking of undergraduate university libraries in China and the 7th in Shanghai, maintaining its five-star library status. In the "Influence Index of General Undergraduate University Libraries" ranking, it ranked 4th. In the "Top 100 Academic Influence Rankings of University Libraries," it scored 88.94 points, placing 52nd.
This report was jointly developed by the China Science Evaluation Research Center of Wuhan University and the Ministry of Education Engineering Research Center for Intelligent Services Technology in Digital Publishing. Building upon previous reports, it continues to optimize the "Five-Dimensional (BWNSA) Impact Analysis Model" for an open network environment. Focusing on five dimensions—basic strength, website impact, new media impact, social impact, and academic impact—it provides a comprehensive characterization of the influence of libraries in China.
The sample selection adheres to the principles of "publicly identifiable and data accessible," covering three major types of libraries: 2,919 university libraries, 1,980 public libraries (excluding those in Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan), and 390 specialized libraries.
