On the morning of December 29th, the Eighth Shanghai Cultureand ArtsAwards Commendation Conference was held at the Shanghai Exhibition Center. Shanghai Municipal Party Committee Secretary Chen Jining attended and delivered a speech. The Shanghai Normal University(SHNU)Party Committee Secretary Lin Zaiyong also attended the event. Zhao Yi, Deputy Director of the Social Sciences Office and Professor at the SHNU Fillm, Televisionand Communication College, was awarded the Outstanding New Talent Prize at the event. This marks the first time a faculty member from SHNUhas received this prestigious honor.
The "Shanghai Culture and Arts Award" is the highest honor in the field of culture and arts in Shanghai, covering four major categories: theory, literature and arts, journalism, and publishing. The award includes three categories: "Lifetime Achievement Award," "Outstanding Contribution Award," and "New Talent Award," honoring a total of 100 exemplary individuals.
Zhao Yi, Professor and doctoral supervisor, has been selected for the Shanghai "Oriental Talent" Youth Program and National Youth Innovation Talent Projectsponsored by National Radio and Television Administration. He has completed multiple research projects, including a National Social Science Fund project in the field of arts, and published over 70 academic papers in authoritative journalslike Literary and Art Researchand mainstream newspapers like Guangming Daily. He is also a regular contributor to the literary criticism column of Wen Hui Bao.
