Recently, the 19th Shanghai Chemistry Experiment Competition and Experimental Innovation Design Competition for University Students successfully concluded at Tongji Universityin Shanghai. The SHNU students from the School of Chemical Materials stood out with their solid professional foundation, excellent experimental skills, and innovative thinking, and achieved multiple outstanding results. Yu Qinyan won the special prize for the 2023 Chemistrymajors, Wang Xuan won the second prize for the Chemistry Engineering and Technology major, and Qian Sixuan won the second prize for the Chemistry majors.
This competition will be held in Shanghai from November 14thto 16th, hosted by the Shanghai Education Commission, organized by Tongji University, and co-organized by the Shanghai University Chemistry Experiment Teaching Guidance Committee. It is a highly influential college student discipline competition in the field of chemistry in Shanghai and even the Yangtze River Delta region.
The competition includes two core components: a written test of experimental theoretical knowledge and an assessment of experimental operations, which comprehensively evaluate the overall abilities of the participants. The written test covers the four secondary disciplines of inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, organic chemistry, and physical chemistry, while incorporating content related to chemical laboratory safety, emphasizing interdisciplinary and knowledge system integration.
