Jürgen Margraf, Chairman of German Psychological Society, Professor of the Psychology Department and the Mental Health Research and Treatment Center of Germany’s RuhrUniversity, came to SHNU to deliver a lecture entitled “The Power of emotion — positive emotion is the protector of our health” to over 200 postgraduates of Grade 2012 from the College of Education. Professor Chen Yongming, Dean ofthe College of Education hosted the lecture and some young teachers of the college were also present. During the lecture, Professor Jürgen Margraf discussed five parts in detail, “positive emotion and our brain”, “positive emotion and its development”, “positive emotion and our health”, “possible explanation” and “what should be done to maintain our positive emotion”. After Professor Jürgen Margraf’s wonderful lecture illustrated with PPT, t students and teachers were much touched by the rigorous academic attitude and logical thinking of the German scholar. Students listened attentively and quite a few students actively raised questions, whichProfessor Jürgen Margraf responded to in detail. “Educational Research Mythodology” has been both a core course for all postgraduates since 2008 and an important step to establishing “First-class Discipline of Pedagogy”, which aims at introducing and collecting high-quality academic resources. Delivered by well-known professors, the courses intend to help students broaden their academic horizon for the solution of bottleneck problems so as to enhance the quality in postgraduate education and the academic research capacity of the students. （Translated by Xia Tian） |
