President of the College of Fine Arts of Indonesia Mara Christian Universities and Professor Krismanto Kusbiantoro, Dean of the Graphic Design Department together with another two guests visited College of Fine Arts on the morning of 16 April. The two colleges had an in-depth discussion about the international exchange program in the future between the two parties. In the meeting, Dr. Liu Xuguang, Vice Dean of the College of Fine Arts, extended a warm welcome to Professor Krismanto. Both colleges introduced their majors and curriculums, inquired about the international cooperation of the two colleges and concluded the achievements of the international exchange programmes between the two colleges in students exchange, teachers training and joint exhibitions. The two colleges also discussed the cooperation in the short-term workshops, teacher training and double-degree joint program. After the meeting, the two colleges signed agreements on the visiting-student and 2+2 undergraduate programs. Then the four Krismanto guests visited the graduation works exhibition of the College of Fine Arts, which they spoke highly of.They then visited the designrooms and observed classes. Maranatha Christian University was founded in 1965, which is among the top 50 out of over 3000 universities in Indonesia. With the development of the university, many specialties have been established such as, Electronic Engineering, Economics, Architecture Engineering, Foreign Languages, Information and Technology, Law, etc. The College of Fine Arts of Maranatha Christian University, having 4 such art-oriented specialties as Painting, Interior Design, Graphic Design and Costume Design, was founded in 2003. （Translated by Xia Tian） |
