The First Russian Art Festival for Young Pianist was jointly conducted by the Ministry of Culture of Russian Federation, Ministry of Culture of Karelia and Petrozavodsk State Academy of Music. Shen Yanqing, a student of Music College of SHNU won the third prize in the Festival. Miss Shen is studying soprano in the Sino-Russian joint program under the instruction of Russian people’s artist Victoria Gladchenko. It is reported that another two students in the program, Sun Sihao and Deng Liuyang, respectively majoring in piano and viola, have been selected to take part in the All-Russian Chamber Music Open Tournament in October 2013. Additionally, Sun Sihao will take part in the 3rd Chopin Cup International Piano Competition hosted by the Consulate General of Poland in St. Petersburg in December 2013.(Translated by Yu Bing) |
