African Business Delegation from Botswana Comes to SHNU for Training and Exchange

    A few days ago, a delegation comprised of the trainees from the College of Commerce and the College of Humanities of the University of Botswana as well as the representatives from the Botswana government came to our campus to take part in a one-week long program on Chinese business, trade, and culture training. Through various kinds of lectures, seminars, company visits and sightseeing of Shanghai landmarks, the trainees came to understand the current situation and prospects for the development of China's business environment for investment. And through the seminars conducted by professors from the Africa Centre and the College of Finance and Business, they jointly studied such academic issues as markets, trade, investment, finance, and culture related to the China’s economic cooperation.

    The training program is part of the “China-Africa University 20+20 Cooperation Plan” of our university which was funded by the Ministry of Education. The International Exchange Division of SHNU is responsible for early communication; the College of Finance and Business and the African Research Centre bear the duty to provide professors and visiting resources In the process of personnel selection, strong support comes from the Chinese Embassy in Botswana, the Botswana Government and the Confucius Institute which is jointly established by SHNU and the University of Botswana.(Translated by Yang Weiye)
