On 18th March , the President of the Springfield branch campus of the University of Illinois, Professor Koch, and the Dean from the College of Business Administration, Prof. McNeil visited SHNU together with another three delegates. President Zhang Minxuan and his assistant Mao Xuncheng warmly welcomed the guests. Relevant people in charge from the College of Finance and Business and the College of Law and Politics all came to receive the guests and attended the meeting. President Zhang Minxuan briefly introduced the history of our university and expressed his hope to carry out substantive cooperation projects with the Springfield branch campus. After discussion between the two sides, a preliminary decision was made to cooperate in the areas of financial management, accounting and public administration. The Springfield branch campus of the University of Illinois was established in 1969, located in the south-east part of the Springfield City, adjacent to the Springfield Lakes, and surrounded by beautiful sceneries. The Springfield campus is one of the three campuses of the University of Illinois system, ranked 22nd in the Midwest of the U.S. It has more than 5,000 students, 44 undergraduate and graduate programs and 1 doctoral program of Public Administration as the strongest.(Translated by Yang Weiye) |
