2013 Chinese Lantern Festival Party sponsored by All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and Chinese Embassy in Botswana has been held at Botswana Defence Force Theatre recently. Chinese ambassadors, Botswana diplomats and Chinese travelers and workers at Botswana watched the show together.  At the very beginning of the show, two Botswana middle school students from Confucius Institute and two Chinese middle school students sang their national anthems. Shirley, from Confucius Institute singing club, sang a famous Chinese pop song “There is no end of my love to you”. Her perfect singing won warm applauses. The performing of musical instruments by Marimba Band pushed the atmosphere of the show to a climax. The Chinese art troupe also brought many famous artists, such as Yang Qianlin, Zhang Yueying and Chen Junhu, etc. Chinese musician Zheng Xulan sang the familiar songs like “Sea, My Home” and “Shepherd Song”, etc. (Translated by Shao Suya) |
