SHNU: A few days ago, Yang Weiwu, the university leader and Dean of College of Tourism, led a delegation to visit Seychelles and Sri Lanka at the invitation of the Ambassador of Seychelles to China, the Ministry of Tourism and Culture of Seychelles, Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Shanghai, and Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau.  During the visit, the delegation signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with College of Tourism of Seychelles in the Ministry of Tourism and Culture of Seychelles in order to press ahead the tourism cooperation and enhance the traditional friendship between the two countries. Both sides reached an agreement that international cooperation concerning student oversea internship, and the communication between teachers and tourism market promotion will be developed. SHNU delegation also paid a visit to Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau and College of Hotel Management. The two parties held discussions and reached a consensus on the future cooperation: to send SHNU postgraduates to teach Chinese in Sri Lanka and to exchange teachers between the two countries. The delegation has reached the expected results -- opening up new realms of cultural communication with Seychelles and deepening the tourism cooperation with Sri Lanka, both of which have laid a foundation for the tourism and cultural communication with the two countries.(Translated by Feng Yunyun) |
