Director of the International Education Institute, Stockholm University Came to SHNU for Cooperation

    Director Vinayagum Chinapah and Professor Zhao Shangwu of the International Education Institute, Stockholm University (SU) in Sweden came to SHNU to negotiate the cooperation in education.

    President Zhang Mingxuan introduced our university, and then both sides discussed the future cooperation, which emphasized on student short-term exchange programs, teacher exchange programs, post-graduate joint program. etc. Details of the cooperation will be further negotiated by delegations from both sides, and an MOU of cooperation will be signed this year. In addition, Professor Chinapah showed great interest in the study of comparative education and proposed that cooperation in this area can begin with large scale seminars and workshops on special topics.

    After the meeting, an agreement was reached that both sides would follow up related affairs in the near future. Cooperation with the International Education Institute, SU can not only open more channels for our students to further their study abroad, but also help teachers broden their international view and improve their research abilities.

    Stockholm University has over 60,000 students, which is one of the largest-scale universities and the central organization of higher education in Sweden.
