On December 29th, “A Thousand Talents Plan” and “Oriental Scholars” employment ceremony was held in SHNU’s conference centre. Professor Zhang Jiwang and Dai Shaojun received the letter of employment as the scholars of the two plans. SHNU President Zhang Mingxuan, Vice President Ke Qinfei as well as people in charge in the Personnel Department, Technology Department and the Life and Environment College attended the ceremony. President Zhang Mingxuan delivered a speech after the awarding process. He said that this ceremony is simple but impressive, and our university felt very proud and honored to have the two scholars join us. He also extended a warm welcome to their arrival on behalf of the teachers and students of SHNU. Furthermore, he emphasized that, from now on, SHNU’s talent introduction will not only cater to those talents at home, but also aim at the best talents in the world. In addition, SHNU would respect the talents, cherish them and strive to provide them with best working and living conditions to ensure that they could work and do research whole-heartedly and make contribution to the rapid development of SHNU. Professor Zhang Jiwang and Dai Shaojun also talked at the ceremony. They said they felt honored to join SHNU and believed that with the full support from SHN and its colleges, they would definitely work harder and strive for excellence to fulfill the mission and contribute all their intelligence to enhancing the overall academic status of SHNU. The people in charge of the Personnel Department, Technology Department and Life and Environment College also said that they would certainly try every effort to provide the best service to the two doctors, give them the help they needed so that they would always feel happy in our university.
