SHNU:On November 23, the founding of SHNU Computational Linguistics Research Center was officially announced. It is launched by College of Information, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and College of Humanities and Communications with supports from four renowned universities from home and abroad. The opening ceremony was held at the Conference Center, and presided by Pan Wuyun, Dean of the Center. SHNU leaders, guests from Peking University, Fudan University and Guangxi Economic Management Cadre College and SHNU teachers and students attended the opening ceremony. At the opening ceremony, Professor Pan Wuyun breifed on the research philosophy and development prospects of the research center. Professor Zhan Dan and some guests delivered speeches at the ceremony. Liu Xiaomin expressed the expectations of SHNU and wished relevant departments pay close attention to and help the development of the research center. He also noted that it is a great opportunity for College of Information, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering to cooperate with other departments and strive for further progress.
