SHNU: On September 25th, the Opening Ceremony of Shanghai Pre-college Institute for Overseas Students and the first class were kicked open in SHNU.
55 newly-enrolled students from 11 countries, and leaders from China Ministry of Education, China Scholarship Council and Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, attended the ceremony.
In his speech, SHNU President Zhang Minxuan talked about the teaching resources, daily management, and logistics guarantee of the institute and hoped that the students would take full advantage of time to understand more of Chinese culture and Shanghai traditions.
Lasting about one or two years, the program will help the overseas students who study in Shanghai universities to prepare for their Chinese language capabilities.
