On September 17th, a concert was held to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of SHNU College of Music by teachers and students. It involved the performances by SHNU Wanfang Youth Symphony, Dance Troupe, Folk Orchestra, Music Band of Pop Accordion, and Harmony Flute Band, etc.
Founded in 1972, the SHNU College of Music now includes disciplines of piano, vocal music, dance, music instrument performance, music theories, and music technology. Also, the college has two programs of Master of Arts, and cooperates with overseas universities and institutions.
In the coming two months, there would be a series of academic exchanges to observe the anniversary, including a music symposium, a lecturing-concert (a concert accompanied with explanation), an academic seminar, etc.
