ＳＨＮＵ：79 female soldiers working for the security of 2010 Shanghai World Expo closed their service and returned to SHNU on December 15th. They were greeted by university authorities and other relevant college leaders as well as students in a simple yet warm ceremony of welcome.
SHNU President Li Jin and Vice President Wang Lianhua were among those who stood in lines to welcome all the returning soldiers.
24 soldiers were awarded the title of Outstanding Soldiers, and 73 won Individual Performances Prize. In his speech, Li thanked all the expo female soldiers for their excellent job in spite of intense work and hot temperature.
Moreover, 25 male students and 2 female ones from SHNU were enlisted as soldiers. Wang Lianhua and Cong Yuhao, another vice president of SHNU, attended the send-off ceremony with teachers of different colleges and parents of those new recruits.
