He Baogen Won the 2007 National Prize for Ten Most Moving Characters

       On December 26, an award ceremony was held at Oriental TV Station of Shanghai for 2006 National Prize for Ten Most Moving Characters. The them of the ceremony was To Warm Life with Sincerity. The prize winners were those who had received most votes from TV viewers in the whole country. He Baogen, a SHNUprofessor who sacrificed his dear life for saving his students, was in the list of winners. His wife, also teacher of SHNU, took the trophy for him.
      The awarding ceremony was planned and hosted by Xin Hua News Agency, China Social Work Society, China Youth Volunteers Association, Shanghai Municipal Foundation of Charity, Shanghai Municipal Office of Spiritual Civilization Construction, and SMG etc. It is noted that the ceremony will be on the cable show by Oriental TV Station and Shanghai TV Station on the evening of January 2nd, 2008.
