On December 21, overseas students from the College of Music, Xiejin Film and Arts College, the College of Chinese Studies, and the College of Finance, as well as foreign teachers from EF (English First) took part in a Variety Show by Chinese and Foreign Teachers and Students. This signals that the 2007 SHNU International Arts Festival that has lasted for a whole year has drawn to a close.
Lu Jianfei, Vice President of SHNU, spoke at the ceremony and declared its completion. Andrzej Lysiak and Chalit Manityakul, General Consuls from Poland and Thai Consulate respectively, and consuls or vice consuls in charge of news and cultural affairs from the General Consulates of USA, Japan, Italy, and Norway attended the closing ceremony and watched the show. Since its opening on March 21, the International Arts Festival of SHNU, with the theme of Combining Multicultural and Artistic Characteristics，has received the acting groups from USA, Japan, Sweden , Ireland and Taiwan, which cooperated with SHNU in presenting 16 shows, with nearly 700 Chinese and foreigners as performers and over 6000 people as the audience. |
