SHNU, Dec. 20: A conference was held in celebration of the one year anniversary of the opening of Shanghai Tourism Forum of Oriental Rostrum in Shanghai Tourism Training Center. Leaders and experts from the tourism circle attended the conference and offered their ideas for the future development of the forum. On the afternoon of that day, Yu Qiuyu, a well-known Chinese writer, delivered a lecture entitled Cultural Mission of Tourism Industry at the invitation of our university. His lecture focused on three issues: the three long-standing mistaken ideas of Chinese Tourism Industry; the cultural map in the eyes of Chinese people and how to absorb the essence of advanced cultures of the world to enrich the Chinese culture. Yu’s lecture was so warmly welcomed that thunderous applause was heard from time to time and the audience queued up to ask for his signature after the lecture.
