On December 20th, the opening ceremony of training program for new countryside teachers in Shanghai was held in SHNU. The elementary education development center shall conduct an intensive training for 6 days of about 80 teaching researchers and kernel teachers of physics and social science from 10 counties of suburban Shanghai.
Xiang Jiaxiang, Vice President of SHNU, said in his speech that this training program would played an essential part in promoting the balanced development of building a countryside teaching force around Shanghai so as to push forward the modernization drive of Shanghai’s education. Shanghai Normal University is determined and confident to make due contribution to the development of elementary education in Shanghai. Li Junxiu, Vice dean of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, said that this was a huge project involving the strategic policy of New Countryside Construction by the CPC Central Committee, bearing the aim of upgrading the working proficiency of middle and primary school teachers with lower than intermediate professional titles. |
