On November 24, a delegation led by Prof. Joan Stringer, president of British Napier University, and Peter Easy, the top vice president of Napier, paid a visit to our university. They were received by SHNU president Li Jin, vice president Xiang Jiaxiang, and others from the University Affairs Office and the College of Mechanical Engineering.
At the following ceremony, Li Jin conferred the Emeritus Professor Certificate to Joan Stringer in the hope of expanding fields of cooperation with more academic exchanges. After that, Mr. Stringer had warm exchanges with students of SHNU Sino-British Program of Civil Engineering Majors, encouraging them to press on for better adaptation to future study and life in Britain. This program ranks as the first lot of oversea cooperation program approved by the Ministry of Education of China, and also the first ever cooperative program of its kind with universities from UK. |
