The First Confucius Institute of SHNU Approved to be Established in Japan

SHNU, Nov. 16: The Confucius Institute of our university was approved to be established and would officially open in Fuku Yama of Japan in April next year.
 
    In order to popularize Chinese culture and the teaching of the Chinese language worldwide, the Chinese government has established 200 overseas Confucius Institutes. The establishment of Confucius Institute in Japan will contribute to the TCFL as well as education of international students of our university.
 
    The Confucius Institute in Fuku Yama will play a significant role in Chinese language training on the part of business employees and Chinese language learning on the part of local citizens in Hiroshima. Because of this, it has gained support from the educational and business circles there, and Japanese media have reported this event in grand style.
