Works of Two SHNU Students Enter the Final Competition of “Challenge Cup”

SHNU: The final of the 10th "Challenge Cup" National Competition of Chinese College Students` Extracurricular Academic and Scientific Achievements, which was also students’ works of exhibition, was held in Nankai University the other day. The works of two students from our university, Jin Yaohong and Zhou Pingle, entered the final of the competition and exhibition.
    As early as this April, 12 pieces of works were selected by relevant departments of our university and presented to the experts at the municipal level for assessment, and as a result, 3 of them entered the national-level evaluation and competition.
    The “Challenge Cup”, which is held every two years, is sponsored by the Central Committee of Chinese Communist Youth League, China Association for Science and Technology, Ministry of Education and All-China Students' Federation. Since the 1st “Challenge Cup” held in 1989, the size of the competition has expanded to cover over 1,000 institutions of higher learning (accounting for 70% of the total number) around China. The nationwide event is known as the Olympic in science and technology, and is considered as a competition at the highest level, on the largest scale and with most participants among Chinese college students.
