Indiana University of Pennsylvania Visits Our University for Broadening Academic Cooperation

SHNU: A delegation of Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), headed by its Dean of Academic Affairs, came to visit our university on Oct. 26. Vice President Lu Jianfei received the guests.
Both sides exchanged views on the projects of student exchange and probed into the possibility of future cooperation in such fields as education, Chinese, English and music. After the conversation, the delegation paid a visit to International College of Chinese Studies (ICCS). They had a detailed discussion with the leaders of ICCS and both agreed to carry out cooperation in certain areas.

     Founded in 1875, IUP is a large-scale university with a long history. It is subordinate to Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education, and offers a variety of subjects including bioscience, business management, communication studies, natural science, computer science, education, social science, etc. Since the establishment of interscholastic cooperation relationship with IUP on 11 of Nov., 2001, we have so far sent a number of visiting scholars and students to IUP for academic exchanges and pursuit of study.
