SHNU: At the invitation of Waseda University of Japan, a delegation of our university, headed by President Li Jin, took part in the 125th founding anniversary of the university from October 19 to 21. Famous universities from all over the world gathered in Tokyo to celebrate the anniversary. Altogether 7 famous universities in China were invited, including Peking University, Tsinghua University, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, National Taiwan Normal University, etc. Mr. Xie Shengwu (with his wife), the former President of Shanghai Jiaotong University, and Mr. Li Jin from our university, were invited as the guests from Shanghai. Our university signed an interscholastic exchange agreement with Waseda University in 2003. At present the exchange mainly focuses on that of graduate students, and exchange projects in teaching staff and scientific research are under discussion.
