SHNU, Oct.20: Students from the Dancing Art Base and the Team of Martial Arts of the College of Physical Education of our university gave the first performance in the program called Performing Everyday at the 9th China Shanghai International Arts Festival. The programs included Ode to the Red Flag, Love in Kangding, Spanish Girls, etc. The wonderful performance attracted many passers-by and won much applause from the audience.
As one of the activities of 2007 Joint Performance by University Art Bases in Shanghai, Performing Everyday is organized by Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality and Shanghai Education Commission. Since its foundation, teachers and students in the dancing base of our university have created and performed over 100 dances. Among them, the grand dance Ode to the Red Flag has been performed on many importance occasions and earned lots of compliments.
