On the morning of October 19, a delegation of 9 people from Taiwan Zhanghua Normal University led by Chen Congwen, head of the College of Education, and Qiu Shourong, head of the College of Science, paid a visit to our university. Xiang Jiaxiang, vice president of SHNU, extended welcome to the guests and briefed on the history, present and future development of SHNU.
Leaders and teachers of the College of Education of SHNU and their Taiwan counterparts probed into the theme of “the present role of the normal university in cultivating teachers and in guiding graduates finding jobs”. Both parties agreed to keep contact and deepen exchanges. Founded in 1971, Zhanghua Normal University, originally Taiwan Education College, is reckoned as one of the most influential universities of its kind in Taiwan. Boasting of over 7600 students on campus, it has 7 colleges, namely, the Colleges of Education, Literature, Science, Engineering, Technology & Vocational Education, Management, Social Science and the Physical Education. |
