20 Sep 2007

SHNU, Sept. 19: Recently, a delegation consisting of 12 teachers and students headed by Prof. Sasamoto Shigeko from Japanese Women’s College of Physical Education came to visit our university. Leaders and teachers from Physical College of SHNU met the visitors and exchanged views with them on cooperation in Social Physical Education and other related fields. They also discussed the possibility of joint research in future. Also present at the conversation were people from International Exchange Division.

After the conversation, the delegates swapped skills in martial arts with students from Physical College.

Japan Women’s College of Physical Education, founded in 1893, was the first professional women’s physical college in Japan, which has made a great contribution to the development of women sports in the world. In the autumn of 2004, it signed an interscholastic exchange agreement with our university. This march, the dance troupes from both universities staged a joint ballet dance in the opening performance of 2007 International Art Festival of SHNU, the dynamic performance of which won a big applause from the audience.
