SHNU Makes Full Preparation as Typhoon Whipha Nears

19 Sep 2007

SHNU, Sept 18: According to the meteorological observatory, Whipha is potentially the most destructive typhoon to strike Shanghai in the past decade.
This morning, Vice President Wang Lianhua held an emergency meeting to assign work. The meeting requires that each student should be informed of the typhoon warning, migrant workers who live in houses with potential dangers evacuated and school facilities like dangerous material warehouses, labs, electrical wires and cables checked. Furthermore, leaders of colleges and departments concerned should keep their cell phones on round the clock.
With these measures, SHNU is going all out to ensure the safety of its staff and students and protect the school property.
