Delegation from Dresden University of Technology Visit SHNU to Discuss Cooperation in Mechanical Engineering

SHNU, Sep 13: A delegation of five people, headed by Prof. Volker Ulbricht, dean of College of Mechanical Engineering of Technische Universität Dresden (TU Dresden),came to our university for a visit. Vice President Lu Jianfei received them and had a friendly talk with the visitors. Also present at the meeting were leaders from International Exchange Division and College of Mechanical Engineering.    

        Both parties explored the cooperative school running in the field of mechanical engineering, including student exchange and teacher training programs, and some details of the programs were discussed. Prof. Volker also had a warm conversation with students from the College of Mechanical Engineering.

        Founded in 1828, TU Dresden is one of the most famous and earliest universities in Germany. It offers a variety of subjects, covering 14 majors in different departments. The university has established 113 research institutes or research centers, and both of its teaching and research capabilities are among the best in the world. At present the students enrolled are over 34000.
