Newcastle University of Britain to Widen the Scope of Cooperation with SHNU

SHNU, Sep 6: Prof. Trevor Page, Vice President of Newcastle University and academician of British Academy, came to our university for a visit today. University leaders including President Li Jin, Vice-secretary of CPC Committee Ruan Xingshu, Vice President Lu Jianfei and leaders from Foreign Languages College, International Exchange Division and Reception Center joined in the conversation with Mr. Page.
  During the conversation, both parties hoped to widen the scope and range of student exchange programs and promote cooperation in other fields, especially in teacher’s academic research and arts education.
  Newcastle University ranks the 10th among all the universities in Great Britain. Since signing the interscholastic agreement with our university in 2001, it has been sending students here every year. Till now, 30 SHNU students have studied or are studying in Newcastle. These students are from Foreign Languages College, Humanities College, College of Life and Environmental Science, Mathematics, Sciences and Information, College of Fine Arts, Law and Politics College, International College of Chinese Students and Business College.
