Vice President of University of Oregon Visits SHNU

SHNU: On October 21, Dr. David Woodall, Vice President of University of Oregon (UO), paid a visit to SHNU. Cong Yuhao, Assistant to the SHNU President, extended a warm welcome to the visitor on behalf of the university. Relevant staff from International Exchange Division and College of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering attended the meeting.
   
    The meeting focused on the exchange program of teachers and students. For instance, they would send students for short-term or long-term study, and teachers from both sides would teach in the other university and conduct cooperation in academic researches. Both agreed to immediate cooperation in these items.
   
    Established in year 1947, the University of Oregon is a world-class teaching and research university located in the beautiful Willamette Valley of Oregon. The UO offers a broad spectrum of opportunities for learning in the liberal arts and professional programs in architecture, arts, business, education, journalism, law, and music and dance.  At present the UO holds 3,318 students and 98% of its graduates are offered high-paid jobs with the average income of 48,000 dollars a year.
