SHNU: On October 15, the commendation meeting for the advanced individuals and intellective in quake-relief work was held in Shanghai Exhibition Center. SHNU was awarded the honorary title of “Advanced Collective”. SHNU Vice President Wang Lianhua attended the meeting on behalf of the university and received the award. After the 8.0-Ritcher-Scale Wenchuan earthquake, SHNU carried out a series of activities to collect money for the quake-stricken area. The whole university donated 3.82 million yuan in total, among which 1.19 million yuan was donated by 7,000 CPC Party members. The volunteers of SHNU also contributed a lot to the quake-relief work.
