Dr. Sheila McCormick from Department of Plants and Microorganisms of University of California-Berkeley recently visited SHNU College of Life and Environment Sciences, and was received by SHNU Vice President Lu Jianfei.
Dr. McCormick made a speech entitled Plant Reproductive Biology Work in McCormick Lab, exploring on the significance of floral reproductive development on agriculture. He was shown around SHNU Biology Lab, and detailed on cooperative possibilities with SHNU. He also suggested better ways to apply for studying in US.
As Editor of Plant Journal and Plant Physiology, Dr. McCormick is an internationally celebrated biologist. With over 70 papers published, he hosted such international conventions as Molecular Biology of Tomato Conference in 2004 and Plant Molecular Biology Gordon Conference in 2006.
