On October 9th, Dr. Nobantu Rasebotsa, Head of Confucius Institute of Botswana, visited SHNU for operation details. Lu Jianfei, SHNU Vice President, received the guest with heads from Humanities and Communications College, International College of Chinese Studies, Department of Social Sciences Management, and International Exchange Division.
Both sides consulted on the opening time, organization structures, teaching and management personnel, and fees. Teachers shall be dispatched for Botswana in due time next year. A panel of 7 shall comprise the board of council. It is noted that Botswana University signed an agreement on cooperation of founding a Confucius institute with the Office of Chinese Language Council in 2007 and developed a cooperative intent with SHNU this June.
