08 Oct 2008

SHNU: On October 6, a delegation from the University of Canberra (UC) in Australia headed by Professor Trish Milne, Deputy Pro-vice Chancellor of the university, paid a visit to SHNU. The guests were cordially met by SHNU Vice President Lu Jianfei and staff from Academic Affairs Office and International Exchange Division.

After the two sides introduced their own university, they talked about running courses of Master’s Degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and reached preliminary cooperation intent.

Founded in 1967, UC is situated in Canberra, the capital of Australia. It has over 9,000 students studying 7 specialties. With a history of 30 odd years in running courses of Masters’ Degree in TESOL, UC has several cooperation partners such as Beijing Foreign Studies University, Harbin Normal University, etc. The professional courses are generally taught by teachers from both UC and its cooperation partner and some qualified students can finish part of their courses in Australia.
